Dr. William Chappell discusses his tenure at Columbus College (later CSU). He discusses the first president of the college, Dr. Whitley; changes at CSU over the years, including student demographics and the addition of computers; and changes within the College of Arts and Letters. He also discusses the change from the quarter system to the semester system.

Dr. William "Bill" Chappell earned three degrees from the University of Alabama -- Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1969, MA in Political Science, and Ph.D. in Political Science in 1977. He spent two years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He came to Columbus College in 1976 as a one-year replacement to teach Political Science, and ended up staying as a permanent faculty member.
